L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition
L.A. Noire is a single-player detective game from Rockstar Games set on the infamous streets and in the smoke-filled backrooms of postwar Los Angeles.
Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends deploying Nov. 15
Tecmo Koei bringing stand-alone expansion of Three Kingdoms-inspired beat-'em-up to PS3 this fall.
Tecmo Koei has already shipped two Dynasty Warriors games on consoles this year, but the publisher feels like there's room for at least one more before 2011 is out. Today, the Japanese company announced that the Omega Force-developed Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends will be available for the PlayStation 3 on November 15.
A stand-alone expansion to Dynasty Warriors 7, which arrived for the Xbox 360 and PS3 in March, Xtreme Legends brings with it new playable characters, among a handful of other tweaks. Namely, players will be able to wage war in the Three Kingdoms as Cao Cao strategist Guo Jia as well as Han dynasty female warrior Wang Yi. Han dynasty warlord Pang De, who appeared as a playable character in Dynasty Warriors 5, also returns.
As for gameplay enhancements, Omega Force has introduced new "ultra-powerful" versions of certain weapons that can be unlocked through play. Xtreme Legends also introduces a new Legend mode, which offers gamers the chance to compete in new scenarios and old challenges from previous installments in the franchise.
Challenge mode will also be introduced, where gamers can attempt to complete various missions and then compare their results via online leaderboards. Additionally, Mixjoy mode offers a "powered-up" version of Dynasty Warriors 7's Story mode and Conquest mode. Lastly, Tecmo Koei said that Xtreme Legends includes a Japanese voice-over option.
Tecmo Koei did not indicate how much Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends will cost. However, Amazon.com is currently listing the title for $40.

Sony showing 18 unannounced PS Vita games at TGS
Publisher's booth will have 31 titles for upcoming portable in total at show; The Last Guardian MIA from 21-game PS3 lineup.
Sony has made it official that the PlayStation Vita will be confined to Japan in 2011, with the North American and European rollouts not expected until early 2012. Japan will also be the site of a major update to the PS Vita library, as Andria Sang reports today that Sony confirmed that this month's Tokyo Game Show will play host to the announcement of 18 new titles for the device.
Sony did not provide a breakdown of who will be publishing the games that it plans to show at its PlayStation Vita Zone booth. However, the publisher did confirm by name 13 other games that will be on hand, revealing a decidedly Japanese bent to the distribution houses. Listed publishers include Arc System Works, Tecmo Koei, Konami, Acquire, Chunsoft, Nippon Ichi, and Namco Bandai.
Beyond the PS Vita's lineup, Sony also confirmed it will be showing off 19 announced and three unannounced PlayStation 3 games. One notable exclusion from this list is Team Ico's The Last Guardian, which also skipped this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo. The game had previously been pegged for a fall 2011 release but has since been bumped to an undetermined release window.
The PSP zone will feature five games as well as one unannounced title. Sony confirmed that Sega's just-announced Yakuza Black Panther 2 will be among the games it plans to have at the show.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Review - EGM
EGM weites : "The most blatant annoyance storywise definitely has to be Zelda’s disempowerment. Though she still plays this society’s role of princess as the knight headmaster’s daughter, she almost comes off as pining for Link from the second you meet her. In the EGM offices, we likened it to Metroid: Other M’s unfortunate relationship between Samus and Adam. I understand that Zelda and Link are played off as best friends in this game, but she just comes across as reliant upon Link long before she falls below the clouds—following him around like a lovesick puppy and hoping he’ll win the ceremonial festivities so they can take a celebratory ride together above the clouds"
CVG - The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Review
A huge departure for Zelda and a proper arrival for Wii's motion controls. Link's latest is rule-breaking, dream-weaving, tech-loving, heart-soaring stuff. If it Wii's last hurrah, they don't come more impassioned than this. 9.8/10
